I transferred from Clay High School to Houston High School my junior year. The basketball girls made me feel welcomed and were some my best pals. I have many fond memories of the great times I had there at HHS as a student. Then after college, I taught Learning Disabilities in Houston Elem. So Houston will always be a special place in my heart for my early years in becoming an adult. Go Hill toppers!!!

Graduated from HS in 1948 after starting in 1st grade in 1936. Some of the best years of my 83 years were spent in dear ole HHS. What I finally realized was what a great opportunity it is to be able to attend a schools like Houston Public and have teachers that really cared about you. Mrs. Reid actually let me be in some of her plays as well as opening the world of Literature. I later received my college degree in English and Lit. ...Good Luck and good health.Bob Barrett

I attended HHS up to my 11th grade. I then moved to Ma. and graduated there. I so regret not graduating with the people I went to school with. That old school held so many memories for me along with the students I hung out with and played football with.

Started to school there in 1954-5 in the 8th grade fresh out of Thorn [Pleasant Grove School] a big change. Had many friends over the next 5 or 6 years there at Houston High. Enjoyed going there. They would not let me graduate there because I got married between the 11 and 12 grade
